About Us
Our Anglican parish is dedicated to the transforming and redemptive power of Jesus Christ. Jesus' victory over sin and death was won on the hard wood of the cross. The Resurrection affirms that Jesus was who he proclaimed himself to be - the Son of the most high God; who came to take away the sin of the world. Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly.
For the Christian, the historicity of the Resurrection is not an optional matter, it is an essential doctrine of the Church.
St. Paul reminds the believer of the importance of the Resurrection,
“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”
1 Corinthians 15:20-22
The Resurrection proclaims God’s power over the forces of darkness. Jesus' suffering and sacrificial death on the cross defeated the power of sin and death. The Resurrection is God's magnificent proclamation of our deliverance; the fulfillment of God’s plan for the redemption of the world. The
Resurrection expresses volumes about God's forgiveness, reconciliation and the new life given to those who trust in His name. The Resurrection is a foretaste of heaven. It expresses
God's power that was evident in the upper room on Pentecost when the Holy Spirit lighted on the disciples. That same power continues to be manifest in the transforming ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church.
We are excited to bring to southern Ohio 'Anglicanism for the 21st Century.' It is an Anglicanism that embraces Biblical truth. It proclaims the uniqueness of Jesus the Messiah, the only Son of God who has come to redeem the world through the power of his sacrificial, redemptive, transforming love.
Resurrection Anglican Church generally meets Saturday evenings at 5:00 pm. Our worship takes place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church located at 500 East Second Street in Franklin, Ohio 45005-1703.
